Join our team as a Heavy Duty Technician with AG Experience at our Abbotsford branch! In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing equipment sold and serviced by our company. Key duties include diagnosing complex issues, planning and executing repairs, and ordering necessary parts. You will also provide recommendations based on observed problems and maintenance needs. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of workmanship, efficiency, and safety while adhering to company policies for cost control, waste reduction, and timely delivery. 

Key Responsibilities: We are looking for a proactive and efficient Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for both field and shop duties, ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency in equipment maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Adhering to safe working procedures and wearing proper safety equipment. 
  • Completing tasks in a timely and accurate manner, including paperwork and parts ordering. 
  • Proactively performing preventative maintenance and promoting company value. 
  • Using tools, machines, and diagnostic software safely and effectively. 
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as timesheet completion and technical support for the team. 
  • Participating in training and staying updated on relevant technologies. 
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and service vehicle. 

The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering quality service while adhering to company standards for cost control, safety, and customer satisfaction. 

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 
  • Inter-Provincial Journeyman Status or 3 or 4th year Apprentice 
  • Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and tools for various repair processes. 
  • Familiarity with equipment and site safety standards. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to read schematics, equipment manuals, and use diagnostic software. 
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, walking, and standing for extended periods. 
  • Able to perform strenuous physical labor in various weather conditions (hot, humid, cold). 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
