Digital Marketing Specialist

Douglas Lake Equipment/Avenue Machinery Corp. (DLE Avenue) is a leading dealership serving British Columbia and northern Alberta, specializing in farm, construction, and turf equipment. We are hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist to lead the planning and execution of digital campaigns that promote our brand, products, and services. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll manage content creation, SEO, email marketing, and overall campaign performance across multiple channels. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution and replaces a previous contractor position. 

Key Responsibilities:  

Digital Marketing & Content Creation 

  • Plan and execute digital campaigns across SEO, SEM, email, social media, and display advertising. 
  • Create and schedule weekly promotional content for social media. 
  • Drive organic social media efforts and actively manage customer interactions and engagement. 
  • Create and schedule customer email campaigns, including promotional emails, Google review prompts and inventory-based communications. 
  • Update Google Business and online inventory listings regularly. 
  • Collaborate with contractors to develop engaging marketing materials. 
  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies and nurture campaigns. 

Marketing Technology & Reporting 

  • Manage marketing platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Mailchimp) and customer databases. 
  • Build and maintain webpages using CMS tools like WordPress. 
  • Optimize campaigns through A/B testing, tracking, and performance analysis. 
  • Monitor results via Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta Business Suite. 
  • Prepare monthly reports and maintain organized digital assets. 
  • Stay current with digital marketing trends and tools. 

Team & Event Support 

  • Contribute to team meetings and ongoing marketing planning. 
  • Assist in executing marketing efforts at events and tradeshows as needed. 

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing or a related role. Candidates with less experience may be considered if they have strong graphic design or HTML/CSS skills. 
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or related discipline. 
  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms: Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, SEO platforms, and email marketing software 
  • Experience managing websites through CMS platforms such as WordPress 
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, conversion optimization, and online customer acquisition 
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and adaptable to shifting priorities 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience in agriculture, construction, or equipment industries is an asset 
  • Willingness to travel between DLE Avenue branches and to industry events as needed 

Preferred Skills 

  • Graphic design experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva 
  • Experience and knowledge with HTML/CSS 
  • Certifications in Google Ads, HubSpot, or related platforms
