Join our growing team as a Warehouse Shipper / Receiver at our Grande Prairie branch! We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipper / Receiver to ensure seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items. This is a temporary position from April to September to assist during our busy season.
Key Responsibilities:
Process required paperwork and maintain records for reporting and tracking
Prepare and schedule shipments
Coordinate transportation with carriers / couriers, and oversee the secure loading and unloading of shipments
Maintain inventory controls, and assist with yearly physical inventory counts
Sort and organize materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards
Track shipments and verify shipments
Create purchase requisitions and obtain approval prior to placing supply orders
Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods, including documentation
Requirements:
High school diploma (post-secondary in mechanical/technical field preferred)
Experience as Shipper / Receiver
Knowledge of filling out waybills, bills of lading and international shipments
Ability to operate material handling equipment, including a forklift
Strong communication skills – both verbally and written
Basic mathematical skills
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team, as well as independently
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
