Territory Sales Representative
Douglas Lake Equipment/Avenue Machinery Corp. (DLEAMC) is a distinguished dealership specializing in farm and construction equipment, representing reputable brands such as Kubota, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, and Kobelco products.
The Territory Sales Representative, under the direction of the Sales Manager, will work with customers in the Oliver and surrounding area He/she will be responsible for maintaining professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner. This individual will maintain a high level of product and service knowledge. This role will also liaise with the various departments to ensure awareness of the incentives and promotions being offered.
We are looking for someone with experience in Agriculture, Construction, Orchard and Vineyard equipment sales.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact to address client inquiries and ensure satisfaction.
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Present and promote products/services to prospective and current customers.
- Prepare and deliver tailored sales proposals and presentations.
- Negotiate and close sales deals in alignment with company goals.
- Market & Product Knowledge
- Stay current on product offerings, industry trends, and competitor activity.
- Understand client needs to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, operations, customer service) to coordinate promotional efforts and support client requirements.
- Provide feedback from clients to improve product offerings and service delivery.
- Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client communications, and pipeline status in CRM systems.
- Prepare and submit regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance metrics.
- Customer Support & Issue Resolution
- Respond to client concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring timely resolution.
- Uphold a high level of customer service to enhance client retention and loyalty.
Job Requirements:
- Five to seven years of related sales experience.
- Experience with Agriculture, construction, orchard and vineyards
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Proven sales ability with capability to meet and surpass targets and goals.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
- Ability to quickly pick up new product and service knowledge and communicate that knowledge effectively to customers.
- Committed to ongoing training, on and off site.
- Demonstrated time management skills.
- Exceptional objection-handling skills.
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
