This gas chainsaw was developed for forestry workers and professionals in sawmills, to offer reliable, effective support with felling, cutting to length and longitudinal sawing.
Even starting the STIHL MS 881 R gas chainsaw should be as effortless as possible. That’s why it is equipped with a decompression valve and STIHL ElastoStart to make starting noticeably easier. The single-lever master control allows you to access all functions with just one hand, so you can always keep your right hand on the handle. The loop handle also makes your work easier, as you can always position your hand to suit the desired cut and thus hold the chainsaw comfortably. The STIHL anti-vibration system effectively reduces vibrations at the handles, protecting your muscles and joints,
while the polyethylene HD2 air filter filters even very fine dust, keeping the engine clear of contaminants. The filter can be cleaned and replaced effectively without using any tools. In order to avoid possible contact between the hand and the saw chain or the claw stop, the tensioning screw for chain tensioning is located on the side. Thanks to the stop button, you can stop the chainsaw at the touch of a button. As soon as the STIHL MS 881 R chainsaw is stopped, it automatically sets to the start position so that you can restart it immediately.
